How iTeraPlay works

The short version

You paste a TeraBox share link. iTeraPlay asks TeraBox for that file's details and a temporary playable stream, shows you the result, and plays it in the page. Nothing is downloaded to our server, converted, or kept.

Step by step

1. You paste a link. iTeraPlay checks it looks like a TeraBox share link before doing anything else. An unrecognised link is rejected immediately, with no request sent anywhere.
2. iTeraPlay asks TeraBox for the file. Using the link, iTeraPlay requests the file's name, size and a short-lived streaming address. This is the same information TeraBox's own share page would give a viewer.
3. You get the result. The file name, size and any available quality options are shown, along with a thumbnail if TeraBox provides one.
4. The video plays from TeraBox, not from us. Your browser streams the video directly using the address TeraBox issued. iTeraPlay's part is done once that address is handed to your browser.
5. A download, if you ask for one. Pressing Download sends your browser to TeraBox's own download address for that file, or in a few cases streams the bytes through iTeraPlay so a browser download prompt appears; either way, the file itself always comes from TeraBox.

What iTeraPlay does not do

• It does not store, mirror or cache the video files themselves.
• It does not require a TeraBox login, and does not ask for your TeraBox password.
• It does not list, index or make searchable the links other people paste in.
• It does not defeat a password, an expired link, or a Premium-only quality limit. If TeraBox blocks something, iTeraPlay shows that plainly rather than pretending otherwise.

Why some links do not work

iTeraPlay only reads what TeraBox is willing to hand over for a given link. If TeraBox has expired the link, removed it after a report, or protected it with a password, iTeraPlay gets the same refusal a browser would and passes that message on to you. See help and fixes for what each message means.
